I've been updating the site to make it simpler to maintain and edit. As a part of this some links in this area are dead! If you hit these I applogize in advance. Hopefully I'll get around to fixing them very soon.

Cookings section is all organized and the recipes are linked and visible to everyone now. I'll do my best to keep this up to date with my cooking endeavors. Amy's Beef Stew has added under the recipes and At Home With Japanese Cooking by Elizabeth Andoh to the cookbooks section.

Had five people over for dinner tonight and made Beef Pot Roast. It came out much better than the last time I did slow cooked beef, much more tender and juicy. A key difference was leaving the lid off the pot, doh! That detail seems to have been missing from the instructions. The carrots and caramelized onions were wonderful and the sauce was quite good, though I added some flour to thicken it up. My overall rating is good, but bland. It lacked interest. Next time I'll be adding some spice or other seasoning.
